The Class of 2009 Senior Project had two main components – a dodgeball tournament and a carnival for the younger children. A total of 16 teams entered the dodgeball tournament, and perennial powerhouse Beano's Buckeye Ballroom again came away as the champion. The carnival drew a large number of McMullen and Budd School students, and the highlight was five inflatable bouncer structures, which the youngsters (and some oldsters) thoroughly enjoyed. The concession stand featured homemade bratwurst and pulled pork sandwiches, compliments of the Ashby family, who donated the hog. (Thank you for that wonderful gesture!) With sunny skies and temperatures in the 80's, lots of pop, water and Gatorade were sold, too. Some of the participants and spectators brought food items for the Helping Hand food pantry, which was greatly appreciated. The Class of 2009 raised $2,311 to benefit the L-P School Foundation.
